Out now: the special 2 disc DVD version of 'D is For...' featuring commentary from the directors, bonus scenes and y'know bonus stuff irrelevant to the main product. The bonus material is now also available in the podcast form of Shaun DVD Wilson. As far as I'm aware this is the first DVD release of an audio product. Actually it's not a DVD release is it, it's just a format I used to improvise sketches around. Well done you've seen through my lies.

Shaun Diseased Wilson

Tuesday Jun 05, 2007

Tuesday Jun 05, 2007

A show I made a while back during which I was indeed infected with illness. As a result much of this is an exorcism of my feelings relating to illness. This monologue however begins to become illustrated; mostly by sketches related to the literature of my childhood. I know that sounds boring but it probably isn’t and if you love whinging you’ll love this. I’d say it’s like the playwright Alan Bennett if he was a bit more rubbish and not from Yorkshire. Oh and I’ve never worked Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. So basically it’s nothing like Alan Bennett.

Looking back I’m amazed that this is any way coherent (ah the wonders of editing) and I think it’s a good if somewhat uncharacteristically personal show.

Shaun Decapitated Wilson

Monday May 28, 2007

Monday May 28, 2007

Shaun Decapitated Wilson is having some issues, he’s about to be executed and things are looking grim. How can the day improve? Well in that situation the most obvious improvement would for him not to be decapitated. But that’s way too obvious. For a twisted adventure; download in this direction.

Shaun Detective Wilson

Sunday May 20, 2007

Sunday May 20, 2007

Shaun Detective Wilson is always on the trail of some wrong un’ whenever he’s on holiday and so he should be, for he is the greatest of all fictional amateur detectives. Be astounded with his fantastical methods of inquiry. Wonder in what direction his accent will head into next. Hear this the thrilling conclusion and beginning of this confusing case in one go. Only one man can solve the case: Shaun Detective Wilson. Probably.

This is 'The Shaun Denial Wilson/Shaun Decaffeinated Wilson Show'! That's right; two SDW's for the price of one (well actually they are all free, but I dunno maybe bandwidth comes into it for you). You will also have the privilege of being in the audience while the show is recorded and enjoy the talents of the two warm-up acts: Peter Perkins and 'Brun'. If you're wondering why none of the audience laughs during the show you should realize that it's not a laugh out loud funny show, it's far more subtle. Actually I don't know why I bother with booking out the theatre and giving out the tickets really as the crowd always just concentrates really hard on the show and aren't really the laughing type. I could probably do the whole thing in a recording studio and there'd be no real difference!

Shaun Deadly Wilson

Monday Apr 23, 2007

Monday Apr 23, 2007

Shaun Deadly Wilson is unsurprisingly a very effective assassin but because of the small market for removals in his area 'Deadly' also has a part time job somewhere else. I'd tell you where but I then again I wouldn't. It's a bit of a smaller show than usual but it suits the character and you can't drag out what suits a shorter format. I like the soundscapes, I think they're the highlight.
"That's No Way to Tell a Lie" - James Dean Bradfield
The 'Manic Street Preachers' and M*A*S*H have nothing to do with the show but I'd like to thank them anyway. Damon Albarn who also has nothing to do with the show always deserves a compliment. I'd also like to thank my brother George but he doesn't exist so I won't. Maybe a thanks to Terry Pratchett would be appropriate because what distorted little I know of assassins probably comes from the Discworld series. Also cheers to The Captain for helping me by giving feedback on the podcast even though half the time I think her tastes are rubbish.

Shaun Deejay Wilson

Tuesday Apr 17, 2007

Tuesday Apr 17, 2007

Here he is Mr. Shaun Deejay Wilson ready to present the latest things that are all cultural and that while DJing his show. I've been asked if Shaun Deejay is Irish and the answer... is yeah probably. I am actually a radio student so hopefully this would only make you slightly outraged to hear this man on the dial. Torgo's rather good too but he's not my creation; he's from a dreadful old film called '"Manos" 'The Hands of Fate''. Torgo's acting ability in my version believe it or not is actually better.
Like all my shows this is improvised but I do get a lot of ideas in post production so for the first time you will hear voices other than my own; clips from "Manos" and a speeded up version of bookish quotes I recorded for another project of which only three are my voice.
And finally for all you fans out there; its what you haven't been asking for... the return of Shaun Drummer Wilson! Why? I asked myself the same question. Why are you including him Shaun, you've done much better characters than that. Well its good anyway, find out about his day in the life in Shaun Deejay Wilson.
